The first time I saw a all belt Heli I knew I wanted one. I had raced RC cars and always looked for a belt drive. The belt is so different than any other drive, Smoother, quieter, and faster acceleration. The Hoss was all that in a 450 class Helicopter. I love going to the indoor fun fly we have in KC. Flying my T-rex heli with a look or two from bystanders and then bringing the Hoss out. Look out!! After my six minute flight I have to answer questions for the next two hours, but I dont mind. After all the kits I have gotten the Hoss has never had even a slight problem. Everything went together perfectly. If there was a issue it was with a third party part and not the Hoss.

I have built 2 Hoss X4E Frame Kits to date. Without any doubt in my mind I believe the X4E frame to be the best you can get.
The workmanship and quality of fit and finish is second to none. Every part fits exactly-no amateur stuff here. Thomas is to be commended for his precision workmanship, and I am willing to bet that anyone who has built one of his kits will say the same thing.
The finished chopper is very quiet with the all belt drive system, also very free of vibration assuming you assemble according to instructions provided.
I have only dealt with Thomas via the website so I can also testify he is prompt with shipment, and he will answer your Emails, unlike too may other places that sometimes do not respond so quickly.
If you are thinking about buying the Hoss Frame, dont hesitate, you wont go wrong.

Have you every read about something and you just knew you had to have it. thats the way I was with the HOSS. I read about it in RC Heli, they had a small write up about it, gave a website for further info. I just hated the way my T-REX sounds, that high pitch whine is not for me, and the HOSS was everything I was looking for in a 45 class heli. Currently I am on my third HOSS frame, I had an original HOSS in G-10, an HOSS X4E in G-10, and now I have an HOSS X4E in blue carbon fiber and would not trade it for the world. I flew it at a fun fly in Austin last year and had some many inquiries after each time I flew it. One guy came over and asked if he could hear it again. I told him no, he looked at me funny and said is your battery dead? I kinda laughed at him and said you cant hear it it makes no noise. All you really hear is the main rotor blades. I did put it back in a hover for him, he was amazed at how quiet the HOSS really is. For me that makes owning one worth every penny I spent on the HOSS. I let anybody fly it who wants to and they all say the same thing, it is the best flying 450 class heli they have ever flown. I have broken a belt or two in the past, and have always gotten what I ordered the next day. Granted I do live about 2 hours from Thomas, point is I have never had to waited for anything Ive ordered. I wish everybody I ordered parts from was that quick. If your looking for your last 450 size frame, in my opinion, there is nothing better out there than the HOSS X4E period.
